Srivilas is a luxurious 350-year-old ancestral home built in Mangode, near Pudunagaram, Palakkad district. It is a classic Kerala-style “tharavad” (ancestral residence) where history and comfort and nature symbiotically exist together.
Architecture & Atmosphere
It has authentic architectural appointments: a timber wood-laminated roof, mahogany furniture and bed, and a comfortable verandah ideal for reading or daydreaming.
Situated amidst paddy fields and over approximately 2 to 4 acres of land, Srivilas offers a peaceful cocoon for guests seeking respite from the urban hustle.
Facilities and Amenities
The B&B has 6 rooms (or 13 possible guests on various configurations), all having modern amenities such as air conditioning, en-suite baths, and, in a few instances, a kitchen area.
Other amenities are a garden, a shared lounge, a shared kitchen, laundry, parking, and even massage or yoga on request.
Visitors are provided homestyle vegetarian or Asian-style breakfasts, sack lunches for day trips, and even choices for in-house BBQ or special dining provided by the family.
