Melodia Event Management had the opportunity to execute a beautiful wedding reception at Darshan Vilas, and it turned out to be a complete outdoor wedding experience done to perfection.
Located in Kuzhalmannam, Palakkad, Darshan Vilas is a stunning outdoor wedding venue surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful natural ambiance. It is an ideal destination for hosting outdoor weddings, receptions, and grand celebrations. The venue features a spacious open lawn with a capacity of up to 3000 guests, making it perfect for large-scale events. In addition, a semi-open tent area is available near the lawn, offering flexibility and comfort for various event setups. The venue also provides parking space for approximately 140 vehicles.
For this reception, Melodia Event Management designed an elegant floral-themed wedding stage. A soft and romantic color palette of pink, white, and lavender flowers was used to create a visually stunning backdrop. The seating arrangements were carefully planned to match the stage aesthetics, while warm bulb lighting (string lights) was installed in a canopy style to enhance the ambiance and create a magical outdoor experience. The dining area was efficiently arranged in the semi-open tent, ensuring convenience for all guests.
When it comes to accommodation, the venue offers “Darsana Villas,” consisting of three villas that can accommodate around 25 guests in total. Each villa includes a living hall, kitchen, two bedrooms, and a common bathroom, along with essential amenities like a TV and mini fridge. Only one room is air-conditioned, while the remaining areas are equipped with coolers.
However, there are a few aspects to consider. Some clients have pointed out the lack of WiFi and limited water availability as minor drawbacks. Additionally, the absence of AC in all rooms can be slightly uncomfortable during hotter seasons. That said, all these challenges were proactively managed by Melodia Event Management, ensuring the event ran smoothly without any disruptions.
One of the biggest highlights of Melodia is that you can conduct functions even during the rainy season; events can be conducted seamlessly using German tent technology. These transparent tents allow guests to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings without being affected by rain. The stage and venue décor can be executed with the same elegance, making it a perfect choice for outdoor weddings even in unpredictable weather conditions. The Melodia has wide experience in that.
In terms of location and accessibility, Darsana Vilas is well-connected and easy to reach. It is approximately 12–15 km from Palakkad town, 15–18 km from the nearest railway station, and around 40 km from Thrissur, making it convenient for guests traveling from different locations. Being close to Kuzhalmannam Junction, the venue is easily accessible without the need to travel into remote interior areas.
