Where the cultural charm of Thrissur meets five-star luxury, Hyatt Regency Thrissur (Puzhakkal) once again witnessed a memorable celebration. Here, we are delighted to share the memories and experiences of the successful wedding celebration of Arjun & Meera, beautifully planned and executed by Melodia Event Management. The satisfaction and joyful smiles on the faces of the couple and their families were the greatest rewards Melodia received through this event.
The wedding festivities began at Hyatt’s elegant Nattika Hall. This beautiful 2,378 sq. ft. pillarless hall was the perfect venue we selected for the intimate Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies attended by close family and friends.
The venue, designed by Melodia with vibrant yellow and vintage orange floral décor, came alive with music, dance, and joyful celebrations by family members. With a seating capacity of 150 guests, Nattika Hall provided a warm and comfortable atmosphere, making it ideal for such close-knit pre-wedding celebrations.
For the main wedding ceremony, we selected one of Hyatt’s grandest venues, the magnificent Regency Ballroom. Spanning 11,750 sq. ft., this palatial ballroom featured a beautifully designed traditional Kerala-style wedding mandap created by Melodia, which captivated every guest.
The ballroom’s built-in stage and separate green rooms for the bride and groom provided great convenience for costume changes and freshening up at the right time. Around 800 guests attended the ceremony, where Melodia served a lavish traditional Kerala wedding feast prepared by the world-class chefs of Hyatt’s renowned Regency Cafe, creating an unforgettable dining experience for everyone.
Following the wedding, the spectacular reception and music night took place at Hyatt’s crown jewel, the Regal Ballroom. This completely pillarless venue, spread across 9,275 sq. ft., was transformed by Melodia’s creative team with modern indoor lighting and a stunning Western-themed stage.
Since the ballroom has no pillars, every guest, regardless of where they were seated, enjoyed an uninterrupted view of the stage and musical performances. The hall comfortably accommodated 500 to 900 guests in reception-style seating. For VIP guests, we also arranged access to the adjoining Ruby VIP Lounge (560 sq. ft.), providing them with a comfortable private space. Hyatt’s signature dinner buffet, featuring a selection of local and international cuisines, offered guests an exceptional culinary experience.
Hyatt Regency is conveniently located on Civil Lines Road, Puzhakkal, just 5 km from Thrissur Railway Station (TCR). It is only 3.1 km from Vadakkunnathan Temple and Thiruvambady Sree Krishna Temple, and less than 5 km from Shakthan Thampuran Palace, making it extremely easy for guests to locate the venue. The route is also convenient for guests travelling directly from Guruvayur Temple after attending a wedding ceremony there.
As guests entered through Hyatt’s grand main entrance, they were welcomed by a spacious open parking area capable of accommodating around 200 cars at a time. Hyatt’s dedicated Valet Parking service ensured that guests never had to worry about parking their vehicles. For family members and guests arriving from distant locations, we reserved 76 luxurious air-conditioned rooms, including 8 luxury suites. During their leisure time, guests also enjoyed access to the outdoor swimming pool and the 24×7 fitness centre.
