Anu, from Thrissur, wanted a traditional Christian wedding with a modern touch, while Dani, who has Kerala roots but grew up in North India, wanted a few North Indian flavours too. We brought both visions together at Chakolas Pavilion in Thrissur, which comfortably fit their 1,000 or so guests. Their dream was a rose pink stage covered in fresh flowers, and we showed them a 3D layout and virtual venue tour before building it.
On the wedding day, the couple walked in through fireworks and cold fountain effects, followed by dancing, music, games and a Margamkali performance. Light rain the day before didn’t slow us down, as the venue was indoors. It was a lively celebration where Kerala traditions, North Indian touches and a modern floral stage came together beautifully.

Anu and Dani first approached Melodia Event Management Thrissur with a lot of dreams, ideas, and expectations for their wedding. Both had a clear vision of how they wanted their big day to look and feel. However, their different backgrounds and preferences also brought a few questions about how to bring all their ideas together into one beautiful celebration.
Dani has roots in Kerala but grew up and settled in North India, while Anu is from Thrissur, Kerala. Their different backgrounds naturally influenced their wedding preferences. Anu and her family wanted a traditional Christian wedding with modern elements. Dani, on the other hand, envisioned a celebration that combined modern styles with touches inspired by North Indian weddings.
Initially, the couple considered having a destination wedding in Kerala. However, with nearly 1,000 guests expected to attend, finding a suitable venue became a major priority. After detailed discussions with both families, they decided to host the wedding in Thrissur. Their requirements were clear: the venue had to be in the heart of Thrissur or close to the city, offer ample parking, accommodate a large gathering, and provide a premium setting for their special day.
After understanding Anu and Dani’s requirements, Melodia Event Management recommended Chakolas Pavilion in Thrissur, one of the wedding venues in Thrissur.
The venue matched the family’s key expectations, including its location, premium setting, and suitability for a large gathering of approximately 1,000 guests.
Melodia’s extensive experience at Chakolas Pavilion, Thrissur, also played an important role in the recommendation. Our team conducts at least 10 events at this venue every year, giving us an in-depth understanding of its layout, facilities, operational requirements, and latest updates. This familiarity helped us guide the family towards a suitable choice for their wedding. Anu and Dani’s family also loved the venue, and Chakolas Pavilion Thrissur was finalised as the setting for their dream wedding.
Anu and Dani were the first to approach Melodia and begin discussing their wedding plans. As the conversations progressed, we also had the opportunity to meet their parents, family members, and relatives and understand their expectations more closely. The more we communicated, the more we understood not only their wedding ideas but also their personalities. One thing became very clear: Anu and Dani belong to a truly high-energy family!
Whether it was dancing, singing, or participating in games, they showed enthusiasm and interest in almost every aspect of a celebration. Their energy, excitement, and willingness to make every moment enjoyable were genuinely amazing. Their enthusiasm inspired our team to think beyond the usual wedding arrangements. We wanted their wedding to be more than a series of ceremonies. It had to be a celebration where their family, friends, and guests could actively participate and enjoy every moment.
Understanding the family’s high-energy personality, Melodia introduced several entertainment ideas to make the wedding more engaging and enjoyable. Wedding dance programmes, musical performances, Dj and water drum music, attractive games, and interesting activities were planned to encourage guest participation.
The idea was simple: guests should not merely watch the celebrations but become part of them. We wanted family members and friends to laugh together, dance together, participate in activities, and create beautiful memories throughout the wedding. Anu and Dani gave equal importance to their guests’ happiness, and this became an essential part of our planning approach. Our goal was to create a celebration where everyone could find something to enjoy. Anu and Dani had a very clear picture of their wedding stage. They wanted rose pink and pink tones, with lots of fresh flowers.
They shared their thoughts in detail with our wedding planner: the colors they loved, the style of floral decor, and the overall look of the stage. Our planner listened closely and turned those ideas into a stage design. We didn’t stop at the design. We also prepared a 3D layout and a virtual venue tour, so they could see how the stage would look on the wedding day before it was built. When Anu and Dani saw the stage in the virtual tour, they were thrilled. It was exactly what they had imagined, and they were delighted that we had understood their vision so well.
Seeing the excitement on Anu’s face during that tour was a real treat for our wedding planner and the whole Melodia team. When you understand what a client is dreaming of and then find a way to make it real, nothing else feels quite as satisfying. The day before the wedding, the Melodia Event Management team arrived at Chakolas Pavilion to begin the décor and other necessary arrangements under the guidance of our wedding planner.
Special attention was given to bringing Anu and Dani’s rose pink wedding theme to life. The combination of pink and rose pink shades with fresh flowers created an attractive and elegant stage. Melodia also took care of the altar decoration, ensuring that this important part of the Christian wedding ceremony complemented the overall floral theme and setting. When the planned design became a real setup, it looked even more beautiful than the virtual presentation. The fresh flowers added depth, colour, and natural beauty, bringing the couple’s vision to life across the wedding décor.
Seeing their dream design come to life brought Anu and Dani immense happiness. Their excitement at seeing the stage they had imagined become reality gave our team a great sense of satisfaction. It was a wonderful example of how a wedding concept can evolve from an initial idea into a real experience through careful planning, visualisation, and execution.
Light rain began on the day before the wedding. However, since the celebration was planned at the indoor venue of Chakolas Pavilion, Thrissur, the Melodia Event Management team was able to manage the arrangements without allowing the weather to disrupt the preparations. Wedding planning involves much more than décor and entertainment. It also requires careful consideration of unexpected circumstances and the ability to keep preparations moving smoothly.
Choosing an indoor venue helped the team continue with the arrangements and prepare for the wedding despite the rainy weather. Finally, the much-awaited wedding day arrived. The beautiful rose pink floral stage and carefully arranged décor created a wonderful setting for the celebration. Anu and Dani’s entry added even more excitement to the occasion.
Fireworks and cold fountain effects made their entrance a memorable highlight. The energetic entry was followed by the beauty of the stage décor, dance programmes, musical performances, and other celebrations that brought the venue to life. The high-energy personality of Anu and Dani’s family was evident throughout the wedding. Family members, friends, and guests came together to enjoy the occasion and participate in the celebrations.
Our goal was to make the wedding more than a formal ceremony. We wanted it to become an enjoyable experience for everyone attending. The entertainment arrangements, including dance, music, and engaging games, were planned with this goal in mind. One of the most special aspects of Anu and Dani’s wedding was the way we brought together the preferences and cultural influences of both families.
Considering Dani’s interests, we incorporated elements inspired by North Indian wedding celebrations. At the same time, we preserved the traditional Christian wedding atmosphere and Kerala cultural elements that were important to Anu and her family.
Traditional elements such as Kerala Margamkali were included alongside modern entertainment and contemporary décor, helping create a celebration that reflected both families’ preferences. The combination of Kerala traditions, North Indian influences, a modern floral stage, and engaging entertainment gave the wedding its own distinctive character.
Although the two families had different ideas and expectations, bringing those preferences together into one celebration made the wedding especially meaningful. Anu and Dani’s wedding journey began with lots of ideas and a bit of confusion. Through open communication and mutual understanding, we turned their dreams into clear plans. From choosing Chakolas Pavilion in Thrissur to the rose pink stage design, the 3D layout, the virtual venue tour, the fresh flower decor, the grand entry, and the dance, music and games for the guests, we kept their wishes at the center of every step.
By blending Dani’s North Indian influences with the traditional Christian wedding Anu’s family had imagined, we created a wedding both families could celebrate happily. Being able to carry on with the preparations indoors despite the light rain the day before was also an important part of this journey. For us at Melodia, the biggest reward isn’t just creating beautiful decor and great programs. It’s understanding what a client has in mind, making it real, and watching families celebrate with joy.
The happiness on Anu and Dani’s faces when they saw the stage, the enthusiasm of the families during the celebrations, and the chance to create a wedding both families loved are experiences we truly value. Because a beautiful wedding isn’t just a venue, decor and entertainment put together. It’s an experience that brings two families’ dreams and different tastes together and creates happy memories everyone can keep for life.
For Melodia, Anu and Dani’s wedding was exactly that kind of experience.

Yes. Dani grew up in North India and Anu is from Thrissur, so we added North Indian-inspired elements while keeping the traditional wedding atmosphere and Kerala culture. Margamkali sat alongside modern entertainment and contemporary décor. We begin by asking each family what matters most to them.
They needed a venue in or near the heart of Thrissur with ample parking, a premium setting and space for about 1,000 guests. We recommended Chakolas Pavilion because it met all of these needs. Our team also conducts at least 10 events there every year, so we know its layout, facilities and operational requirements well.
We spent time with the couple, their parents and relatives to understand what each side wanted. Then we planned a celebration that respected both: a traditional Christian wedding with Kerala traditions, North Indian influences, a modern floral stage and engaging entertainment.
Our wedding planner turned their ideas into a stage design, and we prepared a 3D layout and a virtual venue tour. Anu and Dani could see how the stage would look before it was built, and they were thrilled with it. In person, the fresh flowers made the stage look even better than it did on screen.
The family loved dancing, singing and games, so we planned dance programmes, musical performances and guest games. Margamkali was part of the celebration too. The aim was for guests to take part instead of only watching.
